Mary is a certified interfaith/nonfaith spiritual facilitator and an ordained minister through the People House Ministerial program. A life-long student of spirituality, Mary spent almost 20 years living, working and sojourning abroad in Asia, Southeast Asia, East Africa, and Latin America before finding her spiritual connection at People House and completing its Ministerial Program. Because of this international immersion and experience, she has deep respect, knowledge and understanding for cultures, cultural constructs, and the major world religions and is well-versed in religious and spiritual diversity.

Past studies include postgraduate studies from the University of South Africa in Theological Ethics/Ecological Justice, focusing on the spiritual and physical interconnectedness of all things. With her MA in Environmental Studies from Boston University, abroad she worked and wrote on environmental sustainability issues at both global and local levels.

She now resides in Flagstaff, Arizona, and is available for all life-cycle events, including weddings, commitment ceremonies, memorials, and funerals.

MY BOOK IS OUT, available through Amazon: To Travel Well, Travel Light. The cover shows my Afghan friend and me sitting in Pakistan, with the Hindu Kush mountains behind us.

From the back blurb:
"As a young mother, Mary moves to Peshawar, Pakistan, with her family to help her Afghan friends rebuild their country, only to painfully watch her patriarchal Christian worldview tumble down ….
"The cover shows Mary in a chador. She wore that in public to protect her Afghan refugee friends from ultra-conservative Muslims who would punish Muslims who were suspected of consorting with loose Western women. She didn’t know it at the time of their move, but she was also wrapped in the chador of patriarchal, conservative Christianity, a religion that served a nonexistent male god who kept adult women as children. This family lived and worked abroad for 20 years, time enough for Mary to experience how her resistance to this religion found affirmation in wisdom ancient and modern and to rebuild her values with soul-driven goals."

What is the meaning of Nautilus Award?
To recognize, promote, and celebrate books that support any of our Four Pillars:
conscious living & sustainability, health & wellness, spiritual growth, and social change & social justice.

The purpose of People House is to create a space and atmosphere where everyone is accepted for who and what they are at this moment, and to enhance the possibilities of who and what they might become should they choose to expand their spiritual awareness. We believe to do so involves everyone living their experience of life with conscious awareness, and responsibly making their own decisions with a willingness to accept the consequences of their words, thoughts and deeds.

People house is not to be held responsible for problems that may result with a practitioner or minister providing their services to you. Additionally, since each person is an independent business, no practitioner or minister at People House is to be held responsible for problems that may result with another practitioner or People House.

Ultimately, it is YOU who is responsible for the choices you make of who and what method you may choose for your education and healing process. We suggest you trust your inner wisdom to lead you in the right direction.

All ministers maintain their own schedules. Please contact them directly for information about groups, workshops or personal appointments. People House ordained ministers have completed a ministry program through People House. They are available for one-on-one spiritual facilitation, run a variety of workshops, and are available for weddings, baptisms and other events.
