Remembering Paul Zweig
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Paul Zweig, a cherished volunteer and pillar of the People House community. For over 20 years, Paul generously volunteered his time, expertise, and compassionate spirit to our mission of providing accessible mental health care for all and for being a place of personal and spiritual growth.
Paul's legacy at People House is profound. He served as a supervisor and mentor to nearly 200 intern therapists, shaping their careers and instilling in them the values of empathy, professionalism, and dedication to service. Through countless hours of individual and group supervision, he played an integral role in our Affordable Counseling Program, working closely with Lori Ohlson to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients.
Beyond his work with interns, Paul and his wife, Marlene, were instrumental in fostering a sense of community and well-being at People House. Together, they led numerous groups, including Agni Yoga, Silent Retreats, and Sensory and Meditation Workshops, touching the lives of many who sought connection and personal growth.
With an open heart and unwavering compassion, Paul was an active member of the spiritual community at People House, finding a special place in his heart for Sacred Circle. His passion for this group and its message of connection, support, and personal growth enriched the lives of all who participated. Paul's belief in leading with an open heart was a guiding principle in all his endeavors, and it remains at the heart of People House's mission.
