At People House, we believe the first step to becoming the best that we can be is to accept our total self as we are now and the experience of life as an opportunity for growth. By teaching and practicing compassion and accepting each individual for who and what they are in the here and now, it enables us to create love, joy, peace, and fulfillment in our life experience. We offer programs that advocate for living a life of conscious awareness and responsibility, while acknowledging that we are each constantly progressing along a unique path where we will all need some help somewhere along the way.
Healing Should Never Be Out of Reach
This Colorado Gives Day, support the People House Scholarship Fund.
At People House, we offer counseling on a sliding scale, but for many in our community, even $25 can feel impossible. The Scholarship Fund exists to remove financial barriers, so everyone has access to the care they need.
Your donation provides:
- Affordable mental health sessions for those in need
- Hope, healing, and a sense of community
Join us this Colorado Gives Day to make a difference.
Our Services
Affordable Counseling Program
We offer affordable, low-cost mental health counseling to those who might otherwise be unable to experience the transformative power and support of professional counseling. Our perspective is holistic, starting with the premise that the development and integration of mind, body, and spirit is necessary to become healthy, fulfilled, and productive.
Practitioners
You can find a variety of holistic professionals at People House. Our practitioners conduct their practice of healing, education and/or growth according to the ethics and guidelines of their particular field. In addition, they maintain a belief in the wisdom of the individual that is in harmony with the basic People House philosophy.
Counseling Internship Placements
This is an ideal site for individuals who are Master’s level student in counseling, psychology or marriage and family therapy and thrive in a supportive environment that also requires personal independence and team collaboration. It is best suited to mature candidates who eventually plan to do private practice, although that is not a requirement.
Spiritual Community
At People House, we believe in a few, simple guidelines, which help us increase our experience of Love. These are suggestions, not requirements. We encourage investigation and consideration of all beliefs.
Remembering Paul Zweig, a Beloved Pillar of the People House Community
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Paul Zweig, a cherished volunteer and pillar of the People House community. For over 20 years, Paul generously volunteered his time, expertise, and compassionate spirit to the Affordable Counseling Program to provide accessible mental health care for all and to our mission as a center for personal and spiritual growth.

In Honor of Paul
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to People House in Paul's memory. Your generous contribution will help us continue our important work and ensure that Paul's legacy of compassion and service lives on through the support we offer our community.

As a sex coach, I often find amazing metaphors about life in odd places and I find a way to translate them into sexual health. I recently found myself watching a TV show that focused on technology. This show was great and at its core it was a cautionary tale about the dangers of advancing. …

We all know that our partner is going to have some differences from us. If they didn’t, we would be in a relationship with a clone… and maybe that’s your thing, but I’m guessing most of you want a partner that has differences that compliment or challenge you, creating excitement and nuance within the relationship.…
