Our purpose is to create a space and atmosphere where everyone is accepted for who and what they are at this moment, and to enhance the possibilities of who and what they might become should they choose to expand their spiritual awareness. We believe to do so involves everyone living their experience of life with conscious awareness, and responsibly making their own decisions with a willingness to accept the consequences of their words, thoughts and deeds.

People house is not to be held responsible for problems that may result with a practitioner or minister providing their services to you. Additionally, since each person is an independent business, no practitioner or minister at People House is to be held responsible for problems that may result with another practitioner or People House.

 

Ultimately, it is YOU who is responsible for the choices you make of who and what method  you may choose for your education and healing process. We suggest you trust your inner wisdom to lead you in the right direction.

 

All ministers maintain their own schedules. Please contact them directly for information about groups, workshops or personal appointments. People House ordained ministers have completed a ministry program through People House. They are available for one-on-one spiritual facilitation, run a variety of workshops, and are available for weddings, baptisms and other events.

“As a People House minister, I find myself uniquely situated to help you seek your soul’s truth. Since I do not advocate for a particular religion or type of spirituality, I have no answers for you, but I can help clarify your questions. In fact, helping you live with uncertainty is one of my greatest aspirations. I can help keep you honest with yourself while exploring your spiritual path. I will support, guide, question, and challenge you as necessary. Most of all, I am happy to provide a humorous aside when needed, a fresh perspective on your experience, a glimpse into my own, and a non-judgmental ear for your sharing. I participated in Facilitator Training for six years, and was a co-leader with Carole Adams. I have facilitated the Friday Night Adult Drop-in Support Group, held classes on Telling Your Story and co-facilitated the Exploring Spirituality Group. I have participated in men’s circles on a weekly basis since 2001, and have held leadership roles in ManKind Project and other groups. I have served on the People House Board of Directors and still remain a member of the Advisory Board. At present I facilitate the Sunday Morning Sacred Circle and theThursday night Process Group, both here at People House. I am expanding my practice as a spiritual facilitator, and welcome your input as to how I might provide more useful and challenging services for you through People House. I believe there is a spiritual component to every situation, and I support silence as a daily practice. I use “Insight Listening,” my unique style of facilitation that allows tears and laughter, clarifies tough questions, explores old behaviors through new perspectives, and leads to peace and acceptance.

Rev. Catherine Dockery

Catherine Dockery, MA, is a trained facilitator practitioner and an ordained nonsectarian minister. She has over 5 years of experience in individual and group facilitation. Catherine directs the Center for Conscious Aging and presents on aging topics such as conscious aging, self-compassion, forgiveness, surrender, life-review, mortality, deep listening, and assists in helping clients create a new vision for their aging journey. Catherine also conducts ceremonies and rituals for marriage, funerals and retirement.

Rev. Mary Coday Edwards

A life-long student of spirituality, Mary spent almost 20 years living, working and sojourning abroad in Asia, Southeast Asia, East Africa, and Latin America before finding her People House “tribe” and completing its Ministerial Program. Because of this international immersion and experience, she has deep respect, knowledge and understanding for cultures, cultural constructs, and the major world religions and is well-versed in religious and spiritual diversity.

Mary is a trained professional facilitator through the People House Ministerial program that uses the work and research of John Heider, PhD, in the study of human potential theory and practice.

Past studies include postgraduate studies from the University of South Africa in Theological Ethics/Ecological Justice, focusing on the spiritual and physical interconnectedness of all things. With her MA in Environmental Studies from Boston University, abroad she worked and wrote on environmental sustainability issues at both global and local levels.

She now resides in Flagstaff, Arizona, and is available for all life-cycle events, including weddings, commitment ceremonies, memorials, and funerals.

I am a nonsectarian ordained minister, unlicensed psychotherapist, and the published author of the award winning book, “Inspired by Angels,” and the founder of the Center For Self-Discovery. As a Spiritual Facilitator, I have been serving individuals as a personal guide for over 18 years. Spiritual Facilitation is a tool for self-discovery which incorporates awareness of your spiritual nature. My holistic approach empowers you with the ability to change your relationship to life’s challenges by moving beyond your conditioned responses. Lori is a psychotherapist with 35 years experience working with individuals, couples and groups and believes in the motto: “No one can do it for you and you can’t do it alone.” She is a non-sectarian minister ordained through People House Spiritual Community since 1986 and currently is serving as President of the Board of Directors. Specialties include personal development, addictions, relationships, spiritual counseling, the Enneagram and professional supervision for psychotherapists.
