Samantha Camerino MSW, LCSW
Hello! I’m Samantha Camerino (she/her), founder of Nomad Therapy Services, a mobile service that brings the therapy to you. I use a ‘Person-in Environment’ approach, acknowledging both the personal and environmental factors impacting our mental health. I started Nomad Therapy as a way to break through some of the traditional barriers to accessing support, by inviting each individual to determine their own session setting; this may include the office, a local park, a ‘walk and talk’ session, or at your home. By bringing the therapy to you, the Nomad belief is that this will inherently create a more calming, comfortable, and safe space for self-exploration.
I began my career in 2013, after receiving my Master in Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University in New York City. Since then, I have been working with individuals on a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, employment and educational issues, paranoia, bi-polar and additional mood disorders. My style is eclectic, using an array of evidenced based practices, while applying a ‘Person-in-Environment’ framework. I firmly believe that each person has a unique understanding of their personal challenges… and their solutions. Having a trusted partner to help you maneuver these waters can effectively remove some of the struggles that may be impeding your personal growth.
