People House is a non-profit, non-sectarian personal and spiritual growth center which has a successful over 45 year history of responding to the community’s needs for personal education, healing and growth through a variety of healing arts.
Philosophy
We offer affordable, holistic counseling to those who might otherwise be unable to experience the transformative power and support of professional counseling. Our purpose is to enrich people’s lives through educational programs and personal and spiritual growth. The populations we serve are people in crisis, life transition, or other stress, and those who are motivated to grow psychologically, mentally and spiritually. We focus on those able to take responsibility for themselves and their actions in order to change their lives for the better. Our perspective is holistic, starting with the premise that the development and integration of mind, body, and spirit is necessary to become healthy, fulfilled, and productive. We believe in an all-inclusive unity inherent in every being.
About the Counselors
The counseling interns who staff this program are master's level students or graduates acquiring experience for professional licensure with the State of Colorado. They are carefully selected based on life experience and personal development to ensure the highest quality for our clients. All of our interns are supervised by Licensed Mental Health Professionals.
About the fees
Psychotherapy (Counseling) $25 – $65 for a 50 minute session
Counseling by People House interns is on a sliding scale of $25-$65per hour or more depending on the ability to pay. It is designed for those who make under $65,000/annually, and who can't afford current market rates for psychotherapy, serving individuals, couples, families, and children. We take life circumstances into account when looking at the annual household income. We don't take insurance of any kind, including Medicaid, please check with your insurance provider for covered services to determine what option is best for you.
