Aggression and Violence: Factors, Findings and Discussion @ Aggression and Violence:
Sep 1 @ 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

The brain is an amazing and complex organ in the human body, with billions of nerve cells sending and receiving messages to and fro. Imagine in this wonderful place, that emotion is intricately woven with how we act, behave, and process the relationships we are in. Can we control the aggression, rage, and other subdomains of anger within us, or are we left to relent to consequences and negativity behind it. But what if other reasons for such intense emotion are based on your environment or psychological factors.

This informational workshop includes discussion and exploration on human emotion, as well as activities designed to bring awareness of them to self and others. Once we begin to identify anger, aggression, and rage in areas of the brain, heart, body, and mind, we can learn and utilize techniques and methods to handle them in effective ways. Relationships are already difficult, why not implement tactics to reduce violence and restore peace and respect to your relationship.

By disengaging in the war against normal pain and engaging in behaviors guided by values that make life deeply meaningful and fulfilling. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a modality that focuses on developing psychological flexibility through the processes of opening up, being present, and doing what matters. ALL humans are welcome to attend this experiential workshop as we take a tour through the ACT core processes. It will be fun and educational. I promise!
