Supporting People House
People House grows and improves through the support of community members like you!
People House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide Denver with uncomplicated access to healing arts professionals and opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. It is through the generous contributions of caring community members that we are able to sustain and expand our nonprofit programs, allowing us to further our goals of maintaining and evolving options for mental and emotional health care in the Denver community.
The support of donors means:
- Training more supervisors and counselors to staff our Affordable Counseling Program.
- Providing scholarships to the under-served to access counseling through the Affordable Counseling Program.
- Providing consistently high quality professional development education to local behavioral health professionals.
- Hosting a diverse Heart of Service program where community members can experience the healing arts, free and open to all.
- Broadening our service to Colorado veterans through our mentor facilitated Veteran Reintegration Program.
Any contribution matters, big or small, and is accepted with our sincere and hearty THANK YOU!

–Other Ways to Get Involved–
Volunteer with People House!
The phones at People House are answered almost exclusively by our wonderful volunteers, who aid our clients in gaining access to counselors and other community resources. Additionally, our volunteers help in a variety of other ways, including administrative operations, event planning, and facility maintenance and beautification. If you would like to contribute to People House through the gift of your time and talent, please consider volunteering for us!
Help Us Refurbish!
We currently have a need to refurbish the spaces used for our Affordable Counseling Program. We are looking for new or gently used couches, arm chairs, and mid-sized area rugs. If you think you may have a piece to donate, let us know!
Donate to Driven to Donate
Driven to Donate is operated by Step 13, a nationally-recognized recovery program in downtown Denver that offers men the opportunity to overcome drug and/or alcohol addiction through a program that requires sobriety, work, and accountability. Our men help process vehicles donated through your organization, providing them with the dignity of work, while striving to maximize the value of each donated vehicle.
Driven to Donate grants a percentage — typically 50% — of the net proceeds from the sale of your vehicle to the nonprofit you have selected and retains the balance to cover the cost of operations of Driven to Donate and to support Step 13’s program to help men overcome drug and alcohol addiction.
